Dates Announced for Dallas Convention
(Letter from the Secretary)
Dear Member:
How are you and yours. I hope all is well. Several weeks ago,
the Planning Committee for the Dallas 2003 Convention in conjunction
with the Executive members of the NIAA unanimously agreed to reschedule
this year’s Convention for November 6-8, 2003. Please accept
my apology for not communicating this change to you before now.
We do feel quite confident that some of the logistical problems
which compelled this change would be overcome. This gives members
traveling overseas and invited guests also coming from overseas
an extra week for arrival following the All Africa Games.
The following is a tentative schedule of events.
Thursday, November 6th, Arrival of all
members
Friday November 7th, Meeting of all members
Saturday, November 8th am, 5K run-walk and
guided tour
Saturday, November 8th p.m., Fundraiser Banquet
In the following weeks, a more detailed schedule of events
including hotel and transportation arrangements will be disseminated.
It is imperative that everyone arrives here in Dallas on Thursday,
November 6, 2003.
I am pleased to announce our affiliation with two charities,
Hope Farm Inc. of Ft. Worth, Texas (Helping Other People Excel)
and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, Texas. The 5K run-walk
will benefit NIAA and the above mentioned charities. Should you
have any questions or suggestions that may contribute to our success,
please feel free to contact me or the other members of the planning
committee, i.e., Ajayi Agbebaku, Lola “Tutu” Ogunde,
Celestine Okwilagwe and Paul Emordi.
Wishing you GOD’s guidance in your endeavor.
Truly,
Harrison Salami
Secretary, NIAA
